Jeremy Mosier
Jeremy Mosier serves as Head Coach of Ascension Wrestling Academy. Coach Mosier attends both Glenwood and Area Ascension practices Monday - Thursday and travels to tournaments both in and out of state.
Career Summary
1996 - 2000: Wrestled for LeRoy High School from 1996-2000, 2x state qualifier, 2nd all-time career wins (123), 1999 and 2000 team MVP, 2000 1st team all-area Bloomington Pantagraph and Champaign News Gazette
2000 - 2004: Wrestled for NCAA Division III Millikin University. 4x varsity letter-winner, 2004 CCIW Runner-up, 174lb career wins leader.
2004 - 2005: Assistant Coach for Argenta-Oreana HS
2006 - 2007: Head coach at PORTA Junior High. Team finished with a 16-0 dual meet record while claiming the Regional and Sectional Championships.
2007 - 2008: Head coach at Bloomington Junior High. Team won the 2008 IESA State Championship along with the Regional and Sectional Championship.

Justin Hale: Iowa State University. 2006 IHSA class AA State Runner Up. 2007 and 2008 NJCAA All-American at Lincoln Jr. College.
Doug Dewald: Iowa State University. Coach Dewald was named IWCOA coach of the year after his LeRoy Panthers took 2nd place this year at team state. Coach Dewald was a state champion out of Cedar Falls, Iowa in 1989. He then wrestled collegiately at Iowa State University before going on to coach West Waterloo (high school Dan Gable attended) for several years before becoming the now head coach at LeRoy High School
Ryan Root: Penn State University, University of Illinois. Ryan Root was a 4x state placer. He took 5th place as a freshman and placed 2nd in his sophmore and junior seasons at the IHSA class AA state tournament. He then moved to Ohio for his senior season where he placed 3rd prior to wrestling at 190lbs for Penn State University.
Matt Veach: Eastern Illinois University, Iowa State University, Lincoln Jr. College. Matt Veach was an NJCAA All-American while at Lincoln Jr. College, and a national qualifier while wrestling at Eastern Illinois University. In 2002 he was the starting 157lb wrestler for Iowa State. Matt has now established himself as an elite MMA fighter after winning his UFC debut this year and holds an 11-0 record. Matt will is currently scheduled to fight in UFC 102.
