Ascension Wrestling Academy is an offseason program designed for Central Illinois beginning and advanced wrestlers ages 8 and up who want to take there skills to the next level. AWA offers a variety of folkstyle, freestyle, and greco-roman instruction which is vital for any wrestler to achieve the highest level. Our program provides a wide range of coaches and guest clinicians that come from the University of Iowa, Millikin University, Coe College, University of Nebraska-Omaha, McKendree University, Iowa State University, Penn State University, University of Illinois, Indiana Unversity, Eastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, Illinois College, and Lincoln Junior College. AWA also gives its wrestlers the the opportunity to practice with multiple partners, thus exposing them to different wrestling styles which is also essential to their development.

The foundation of Ascension Wrestling Academy is based on "opportunity". The coaches are dedicated to providing the best opportunity for wrestlers in the area to achieve all of their goals and learn to set them high. In its first year Ascension has been a success thanks to the dedication of our wrestlers and their parents.

***** We will begin our sign-ups for the 2011 off-season on March 29th at the Auburn Elementary School Gymnasium. Sign up will begin at 4:15pm and practice will be 4:30-6pm. There will be AWA information sheets available at all the local tournaments in the Chatham/ Springfield area. You can also contact coach Mosier if you have any questions regarding our program and fees

The AWA coaches would also like to thank all our wrestlers and parents for their time and committment they have sacraficed throughout our inagural season. We look forward towards growing as a program and making Ascension Wrestling Academy bigger and better in 2011. Best of luck to all of our competitors for the upcoming season.

SIGN UPS WILL BE TUESDAY MARCH 27TH. AT 4:15
PRACTICE WILL IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW FROM 4:30-5:45PM THAT EVENING AND EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER. EACH PRACTICE WILL BE AT GLENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL. FEES WILL BE $100 FOR THE ENTIRE OFFSEASON.
